Who Are The 10 Richest Businessmen In The World?

If there is a person who does not want to have billions and billions of dollars then he must be out of his mind.  If you get rich then you can buy whatever you want.  There are successful people who are busy everyday and there are those who do nothing but stare in the air.  We can’t help but be envious of the 10 richest people in the world because it is no secret we can never earn what they are currently earning even if we live a couple of lifetimes.

1)    Bill Gates

Bill Gates has got to be the most popular rich guy in the world since he is the founder of Microsoft, the world’s biggest software company.  There is no doubt you came across Microsoft at one point in your life.  He has also investments in real estate, photography and energy.  He is also one of the most generous in the world as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is dedicated to people who have malaria and polio.  He has donated $28 billion to that foundation.

2)    Carlos Slim Helu

Carlos Slim Helu is the richest man in Mexico because of his publicly trading company America Movil.  His financial arm Grupo Financiero Inbursa and retail arm Grupo Carso are both doing good too.

3)    Warren Buffett

Warren Buffett is the CEO of textile company Berkshire Hathaway.  He began by buying a share in it then called it a move he regretted.  It did not take long for the company to rise because of him.  He is also a close friend of Bill Gates as he has donated numerous times to the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation.

4)    Amancio Ortega

Amancio Ortega and his wife became the richest couple in Spain due to the world’s largest clothing retail company Inditex.

5)    Ingvar Kamprad

Ingvar Kamprad is the richest man in Sweden thanks to the largest furniture retail company in the world, IKEA.

6)    Charles Koch


Charles Koch owns 42 percent of Koch Industries.  Koch Industries is a multi-national group of companies specializing in a lot of things including energy, chemicals, petroleum, gas liquids and man-made fibers.


7)    David Koch

Like his brother Charles, David also owns 42% of Koch Industries.  However, he is active in politics as he ran for public office several times.

8)    Larry Ellison

Larry Ellison has founded IT company Oracle.  Right now, young IT professionals want to learn it in order to get a boost in their careers.  Engineers and IT professionals would want to grow in the world of Oracle as it would help them get to the promised land.

9)    Christy Walton

Christy inherited the fortune of her husband John who is the owner of Wal-Mart, the world’s largest retail company.

10)  Jim Walton

Jim replaced his brother John for Wal-Mart and handled all of the real estate transactions.  Both he and John’s wife benefitted from John’s untimely death from a plane crash but that is life.  He has now taken over his brother’s spot in the spot of Forbes.
