Hi Richard! Thank you for this great tips about affiliate marketing. It's true that a good thing about E book is that you can share it around the internet. I agree on Affiliate that it gives value to readers.

Thank you for this article. I'm an affiliate of a company and had their banners on my blog, but people were not showing any interests in them. You've confirmed an idea I've had about writing an article to show the benefits of using their products, which I've used myself. I'm new to blogging and am grateful for any information I can get to grow my blog and please my readers.

Thanks June. You'll find that as you present more content that gives value and add in some suggestions about the products you use yourself, you will get better results. By far, that works better than a simple banner ad.

Rich, your comments about using the products that you represent is a good one. Few affiliate products require that their resellers do that. I believe that this is a flaw in the process as most affiliate marketers are looking first for the products with the highest payouts to promote rather than the best product, then best commission.

One further comment, affiliate marketing requires many sites, many products and a constant churn of product and page copy to be successful. Network marketing does not. A leader can build a generous income with only a handful of like minded downline members. The tools to build a strong online presence in network marketing is the same as affiliate marketing but the reward comes from fewer sites, and all network marketing programs require that their members use the products they represent!

That's a really interesting distinction between network marketing and affiliate marketing. Although you can mix in some network marketing products in your overall portfolio as an additional income stream. There are several products that also provide several tiers in their affiliate programs. The strategy for promoting those products in my mind remains the same. That is that you should have personal experience with the product and provide genuine information.
