I had heard about the Amber novels by Roger Zelazny, but I had not read them before Audible produced them last month. I must say, I’m hooked on Amber.
These novels are a fantastic mix of fantasy, science fiction, intrigue, magic, and adventure. Remember: all roads lead to Amber.

Audible produced the entire 10 novel series and made them available on their store and released them all on July, 31. I discovered them when I got my two credits renewed from my platinum subscription plan the following month.
I started at the beginning, following Corwin on his adventure through shadows to regain his rightful place in Amber. I found myself drawn in right away. By the way, these are some of the best narrated novels.
Narrated by Alessandro Juliani, these books are simply brought to life. He does different voices for the different characters, adopting a snooty, feminine voice for the snobish sister and then transitioning to a nasally, whiny voice for the weasely character, Random. These books take on a quality that feel more like acting than simply reading. Just check out the sample of the narration on the Audible site. (Use the sign up links below for the free book offer) It’s simply awesome!
I finished the first book, Nine Princes in Amber, in fairly short order and continued on. In a little over a month, I found myself almost halfway through the 10 book series. So far, this is one of my favorite series on Audible. The books are a fun read and they are excellently narrated. Whether you are new to Amber or an old fan of the series, I highly recommend getting these books from Audible.
