Richard, aloha. First off I want to compliment you on the look of your--it's easy on the eye and easy to navigate. Also, I very much like the way you layout your posts because they are easy to read and thus make me want to read them. As you know from touring the blogosphere, some posts are so difficult to read that even if you are interested in the content you almost don't want to read it because of the layout.

It's good that you recognized that you need to stop checking your analytics throughout the day. A few hours or a day is not a trend. What's crucial is not how many visitors you have rather it's how many convert.

Also, numbers can be so misleading. Recently I wrote a post on 17 Quotes or Toast for the New Year. Richard, I had a big spike in numbers because so many people were searching for toasts. However, I would be deluding myself if I thought those were "real people" who discovered my blog and loved what they saw. Hopefully, they did like what they saw and will visit again.

Wishing you continued and ever increasing success with your blog. Hauoli Makahiki Hou. Janet
My recent post Oh My God Explained

Thanks for the compliment, Janet. I totally understand your feelings about running into hard to read articles. I feel the same way and put some extra effort into customizing my theme to make the content easier to read. I want it to be as easy for the reader as possible with a minimum of distractions. Happy new years!

My only blogging resolution for 2012 is writing more quality contents. I've been a lazy blogger last year.
