September 2013 is really a harvest month for Smartphones. Apple, Samsung, Sony, and the red-hot brands of China, Meizu and Xiaomi, are going to launch their next Smartphones. Let’s see what we can look forward to in the following passage.
It is said that Apple will launch its iPhone 5s and budget iPhone, iPhone 5c on 10th September. Since the last iPhone, it has been a year long. During this year, there’re many new smartphones have been launched, Samsung Galaxy S4, Sony Xperia Z (Ultra), Nokia Lumia 925 & 1020, the second generation Nexus 4, HTC One, MOTO X, etc, just too many to be counted one by one.
This time, to stand still in this handset market, Apple is going to march into the middle-end cellphone market, and iPhone 5c will definitely be the first step. Whether this budget iPhone and iPhone 5s are hit or nothing, the market will tell everything until they’re launched. Let’s simply wait.
We’ve waited it for a really long time, the most powerful smartphone line of Samsung, Galaxy Note is finally going to launch its Note III in 4th September, 2013 Berlin IFA. Last year, Samsung launched its phablet Galaxy Note II, and it has changed the digital life of us that smartphone is not merely for making phone calls, sending emails or messages, or even surfing the Internet. We can also use it both as a phone and a tablet (work and entertainment), and that’s why Note II is a phablet.
This September, let’s look forward to the coming of the larger (5.5-, 5.7-, or 6.0-inch 1080p AMOLED screen), faster (3GB RAM, Exynos 5420 octa-core/Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor), better (higher camera megapixel, higher OS version, larger storage, super narrow frame, etc.) phablet Galaxy Note III.
It is confirmed that Sony will unveil its flagship smartphone on 4th September, 2013 Berlin IFA as well. This flagship is just the rumored Honami, modeled Xperia i1. As a flagship product, Honami is powered with Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor with 2.3GHz, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, 2GB RAM, and 16GB ROM. With the same feature of Xperia line, Honami is water-proof.
Besides, I have to say, the most amazing spec should be its camera, 20.7MP Sony G lens with 1/2.3” image sensor. It is said that this camera supports 4K video recording. People who love deadly to shoot footages or take pictures without carrying the large and heavy DSLR should think of this powerful camera phone.
You may seldom hear this brand, Meizu, if you are not in China. This is one of the most popular smartphone brands in China, just as hot as Xiaomi and Huawei, or even hotter. In 2006, Meizu earned its credits from the consumer by the MP3 player, later it successfully marched into the smartphone world with M9, then MX, MX2 make it much more mature in the battle of headphone market. Now it’s claimed that MX3 will be unveiled on 2nd September.
MX3 will pack Samsung Exynos 5410 octa-core 2GHz processor, Flyme 3.0 (based on Android 4.2) operating system, 5.1-inch 1800×1080 400ppi Full HD screen, and 13MP rear lens. J. Wong, the president of Meizu, said that Flyme 3.0 is really amazing, and even if it’s 5.1-inch, it can be used freely when holds it in single hand, also the battery life and the heating problem are solved beautifully. Truth or not, it will be testified on 2nd September (Beijing Time) in the Water Cube, Beijing.
On 5th September (Beijing Time), Xiaomi will unveil its 3rdgenerationsmartphone, Xiaomi 3. It is said that this time, Xiaomi 3 will be powered with Tegra 4/Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor with Android 4.2.2 OS, 3GB RAM and 16GB ROM. It has a 5-inch 1080p display, a 13MP back camera and 5MP front-facing lens.
This Xiaomi 3 is only 1999RMB, about $326. Maybe it will be a little bit disappointed that neither Meizu nor Xiaomi will be sold in over-sea market. However, these two brands are promising, and I believe that in some day, they will be strong enough to sell their products in other countries.
Autumn is really a harvest season in the year, and this autumn is just for smartphones. Maybe you are busy thinking which one is the best for you, but what I want to say is that, all of the smartphones launched in September are the flagship of those brands, that is, all of them are amazing. All the differences among them might be the price, and so you need only to think is how many would you like to pay for your handsets.
