Fiverr is one of the most popular in a field of micro job sites. It can be used by businesses to outsource tasks relatively cheaply, and it can be used by budding entrepreneurs to promote their products and create a passive income stream. Popular gigs on the site include writing articles, creating funny videos, or even drawing quick cartoons. Blog owners can use the site to promote their business, both through outsourcing tasks and through promoting products and services. Here are a few ideas:

Get Feedback

Post a wanted ad for feedback on your site to help you determine how to improve it for better page rank or to help you improve your products or services. You can either conduct an online survey or focus group of your own, using the site to recruit participants, or you can hire someone to do “man on the street” type interviews to get feedback from random people. If you hire someone to get the feedback for you, be sure that you negotiate clear terms for the job before you complete your transaction.

Get More Facebook Fans and Twitter Followers

There are many social-networking gurus on Fiverr offering to promote your site or your product to their extensive network of followers. Pay $5 to have your link tweeted to a following of 50,000 or posted on the Facebook wall of someone with just as many friends.

Some Fiverr users also offer you fans and followers. You can pay $5 to get a couple hundred or more instant likes and follows. This is great if you are trying to raise your profile by making your brand seem more popular and attractive. However, you should remember that these purchased likes and follows will probably not become conversions as they did not arrive at your site organically. In other words, you don’t know whether your product or service actually appeals to these people, so they could just hang out on your site and never buy anything or interact. If you want to make your $5 worth more, ask the person offering the follows what niche his or her site targets so that you can find someone with a compatible audience.

Get SEO Help

There are many ways that you can use Fiverr to enhance your search-engine optimization strategy, including getting a brief analysis of your site. You can also purchase backlinks on the site to help drive traffic and page rank, and you can purchase comments to make your blog seem more active and to encourage more traffic. Be sure to review the user’s feedback to ensure that the links and comments you are purchasing are quality and won’t actually harm your site’s page rank.

Buy a Custom Background or Logo

Graphic designers and illustrators are ubiquitous on Fiverr, and they are ready to create a custom background for your Twitter or YouTube page, a custom blog template, or even a custom logo for only $5. If you are just starting out and don’t have a lot of start-up capital, this is a great option for your business.

Sell Your e-Book

After buying services from Fiverr to help promote your business, you can sell some of your own products or services to get the word out about your business. An e-book is an excellent way to get started. Create a guide related to your target niche, offering an in-depth review of the types of services you provide, or explaining something about your services (such as a tutorial). The book will help you create brand awareness and to promote the quality of your goods or services.

It may seem like micro job sites like Fiverr offer opportunities for little more than a few giggles over some novelty acts, but they actually offer the chance for businesses to promote their brand if used correctly. Try outsourcing some of the work you need done on the site, or look for creative ways to sell your products or services there.
