Is social media marketing working for you?
When properly done, social media marketing could be the best marketing systems ever. I’ve been marketing my niche blogs using this medium and the success is visible. It’s actually not an overnight success-spinner, but with consistency and focus, you would excel.
Social media marketing stems from the belief that everything in life begins with relationships. Come to think of it, in the real world, we meet people every day. We exchange business cards and take part in events that bring total strangers our way.
Human beings are fashioned to fit into the club. We’ll have this hunger to communicate. It’s unfortunate that so many people have loosed focus and gazing upon monetary gains.
Here are five strategic ways to begin your social media marketing journey.
1. Write your goals down
Maybe you don’t even have a business goal in white and black, my question is, “how do you achieve your goals when you are not clear about them?” Starting a business takes a strong goal to become a reality.
If you don’t have it written down, focus is sabotaged and moving ahead in every other aspect of your business is infected. Just like every worthwhile career in life, you need to be realistic, measure your directives and see if you’re ready to take the right steps.
Get a notebook and a pen close-by. It’s the starting phase in life’s journey.
2. Be Knowledgeable
The difference between a winner and a loser is what they know.
What you know in life is your edge and what you’re ignorant of becomes your master. There are several arms that should be on deck if social media is to work for you.
What you need more than anything is knowledge. Once you know what you’re doing, what next steps to take and why you’re taking those steps, you’ll succeed and trounce the competition.
Start reading books that would enlighten your mind add to your knowledgebase and make you an expert – that’s all you need to do and the rest activities would fall in effortlessly.
3. Ask Plenty Of Intelligent Questions
The right questions often yield the right answers. If you know how to ask plenty of intelligent questions, you would profit from social media. Have you ever asked why some blogs are doing well in search engines, even when they are pretty new?
This kind of question makes you crack your brain and search for information to fill that gap.
You should know why people use social media networks in the first place; this would give you the right mindset to approach them with boldness. If you know any social media examiner, an expert in your niche, why not ask him/her some thought-provoking questions? I’m sure you would learn a lot about this powerful marketing system.
4. Focus On Your Strengths
Where does your strength lie?
As a blogger, I discovered that my strengths lie in designs, creating new concepts and writing. Nothing gives me great joy than putting pen into paper or writing interesting contents for syndication across the web. I’m not a techie-coding-person, I prefer to design or write.
If you haven’t discovered your strength, look at your life today and determine what gives you great joy. This kind of joy is usually extreme but it doesn’t blow out as such. But inside, you know you’re called to make a difference in that angle.
Social media marketing capitalizes on strengths. Don’t try to be who you’re not – it’s a sure bet for failure.
5. Outsource Your Weakness
You’re a bundle of strengths and weaknesses.
Above, I admonished you to focus on what you can do. On the internet, time is the only precious thing that’s scarce. You need to use it creatively and wisely.
For things you can’t do as a business entrepreneur, you should outsource them. Whenever I need new wordpress theme for a new blog, I usually outsource to experts who enjoys doing it while I concentrate on writing quality contents and impacting the world with words.
For several of my blogs including the coupon blog that features sittercity coupons and 6pm discount codes, outsourcing has been my #1 success-secret all these while. It can help you too. Discover things you cannot do and hire an expert to help you out.
Surviving in these social media career takes extra guts. Start looking for problems to solve. There are several problems that need immediate solution. E.g. tonsillitis contagious health issues. The focus is on improving your web presence via social media platforms.
The clearer the vision you see for your business, the faster you meet your cherished goals.
It doesn’t get so blissful than for you to take the right steps today. Remember, a single action towards the right direction can transform your business notwithstanding the model you choose. See you ahead!
