Seth Godin is a remarkable person. Here is a video of his TED Talk where he discusses his philosophy about marketing. He talks about everything from sliced bread to coca cola to purple cows.
It’s about 19 minutes long, but well worth watching.
If you don’t want to watch the video, the basic premise is that in order to sell things, you need to be remarkable. Do things that stand out. You can take the same boring concepts that others are using and market them as interesting. Make them into something that is worth remarking about. That’s being remarkable. If you can do that, then you will be able to sell your ideas.
