As the employees’ suspicious activities continue to hike up employers’ blood pressure, the demand for employee monitoring software is skyrocketing in synchrony. Accordingly, the smart phone share in the market has a direct impact on the sale of employee monitoring software. Hence the demand for Nokia spy is diminishing, as employees continue to opt for Samsung and Apple devices.
The Status Quo
Nokia has long been touted as being out of the smart phone race with Android phones and iPhones, those defining the smart phone status quo. Even though Nokia feature phones are still a match for any of its rivals, it is lagging far behind in the race for smart phone supremacy and doesn’t look like a challenge to the status quo any time soon. So while Nokia is still considered to be the cream of the crop when being a mobile device’s main purpose – that of being a phone – all the ‘smartness’ is still being showcased by the trailblazers. Therefore, Nokia spy software is being dumped for Android and iPhone spy software, mirroring the market share of their respective devices.
The Biggest Collapse in Economic History
Nokia’s cell phone market plunge is the biggest market share collapse in the history of economics. Last year Nokia had 29% of the smart phone market share and was the top smart phone manufacturer 15 months ago. Its share has now shrunk to 8% and is being forecasted to plummet to around 3% by the end of this year.
Nokia’s procrastination with regards to reacting on popular technology is one of the main reasons behind its downfall. Like for example, other companies have been cashing in on multi-SIM models, but Nokia hadn’t touched this realm until last summer. Another feather criminally missing from the Nokia repertoire has been a full touch-screen model, which gave companies like Samsung the room to maneuver and capitalized gamers.
Nokia’s shares in the smart phone market are set to nosedive from 29% to 3% in around two years, and this is undoubtedly the single biggest market crash down in history. This has of course affected the employees’ smart phone purchasing trend, which in turn has further aggravated the employers’ Nokia spy purchasing trend.
Why Monitor Employees?
Data leakage or divulging of trade secrets can destroy any business or firm, and hence employers try and cover all their bases to ensure that their employees aren’t involved in something fishy. Another aspect which makes employee monitoring software a popular choice for employers is keeping a check on the productivity. Employees have this uncanny knack of wasting time on their cell phones while at work and this is where the spy software set for their particular operating system thoroughly caters to the apprehensions of the employers.
So while Nokia goes hell for leather in its quest to arrest the sharp decline in its market performance, spyware makers would be keeping a keen eye on the market events as they unfold. If Nokia manages to drag itself out of the current fix, we might see the return of Nokia spy software in the employee monitoring picture. Till then it seems as if it’s Android and iOS phones are to continue to hog the employees’ smart phones.
